How we work
We favour hardy species and, where possible, native plants that need little watering and attract pollinators. Every planting is properly prepared: a suitably sized hole, soil improvement, staking if needed and mulch to retain moisture.
The right time
Trees, shrubs and hedges are ideally planted from October to March, outside frosty periods. Perennials are planted in spring or autumn. Vegetable plants follow their own calendar, from April to June for most of them.
Frequently asked questions
When should a hedge be planted?
From October to March, ideally in autumn: the roots establish over winter and the hedge gets off to a better start in spring.
What is a mixed hedge?
A hedge made up of several species, often native ones. It is more resistant to disease and provides a home for more birds and insects.
Is plant establishment guaranteed?
Yes. Our planting comes with an establishment guarantee. Its duration and terms, including watering after planting, are set out in the quote.
