How we work
A deck or a path holds up thanks to what you cannot see: the foundations and the drainage. We start by checking the type of soil and how water drains, then choose with you a material that suits the house and the garden.
The right time
This work can be done all year round, except in frost and periods of heavy rain. Spring is very busy: book the visit a few weeks ahead if you want to enjoy your deck as soon as the good weather arrives.
Frequently asked questions
Timber or composite decking?
Timber has a natural look and needs regular maintenance. Composite costs more to buy but needs little maintenance. We show you both during the visit.
Do I need planning permission for a deck?
A ground-level deck is often exempt, but it depends on its size, its height and the municipality. We check this with you before the work starts.
Can you redo an existing path?
Yes. We remove the old surface, rework the foundations if needed and lay the new one.
