How we work
Each species has its own rules. Thuja does not regrow from old wood, hornbeam tolerates harder cutting, and a flowering hedge is trimmed after it flowers. We also check for nests before starting and leave the base of the hedge clean.
The right time
Most hedges are trimmed twice a year: in late winter (February to March) and from mid-August to the end of September. From 1 April to 15 August, during the nesting season, we avoid any major trimming.
Frequently asked questions
How many times a year should a hedge be trimmed?
Once or twice for most species. Fast-growing hedges may need three cuts.
My hedge is too tall, can it be reduced?
Yes, for most species. With conifers such as thuja we take care, as they regrow poorly from old wood.
Who deals with the waste?
We do. Everything is collected and removed at the end of the job.
